Jewish Teen Foundation

The Jewish Community Foundation offers San Diego teens, 9th-12th grade, a unique opportunity to experience what philanthropy is and the impact it is has on their community. The teens become their own professional philanthropic foundation, where they discuss social justice issues that matter to them. Upon choosing a social justice topic, they will research and connect with nonprofits that are dedicated to that cause and ultimately, through fundraising and donations, the JTF cohort will distribute money to their chosen organizations. Our 2019-20 group donated nearly $22,000 to 7 nonprofits based locally, in New York and also in Israel! JTF is for teens looking to create change in their community and connect with other passionate teens who want to leave their mark.

Starting July 1, 2021, the San Diego Jewish Teen Initiative will be transitioning under the new direction of the Jewish Federation of San Diego County. If you have any questions regarding community partners, grants, or offerings, please reach out to Molly Okun, Donor Engagement Manager.
